Join the Fifty Books Project for 2008? You know you're going to read fifty books this year already--why not tell us how you feel about them?
Apparently my posters didn't have the location of the event, so I've uploaded some updated ones--same deal, go to "group posts" on the lefthand bar and you'll be able to download them from there.

I uploaded two posters to the website for the upcoming Majors Get-Together. The post to which I uploaded them is a group post, though--if you go to "Recent posts" in the lefthand bar, you should see it. I'm pretty sure you can download them from there.
So go, print them out, post them around town (have you noticed that you post a poster, and not the other way around? Shouldn't it be a postee?), and then come to the event!
With love,
Christopher
So, as the "chair" for the Technology Committee, I thought I'd share the one semi-technological thing I do related to literature: my book blog. Last winter, a group of my friends and I decided that we didn't read enough books, and made a pact to read fifty in the calendar year. We started this blog to force ourselves to keep up with it:

If you look at it right now, you'll see my overwhelmingly negative and somewhat racy review of J.G. Ballard's Crash, which, admittedly, is not worthy to be called literature. For that matter, it's hardly worthy to be called kindling.
Anyway, I have a lot of fun doing it and I only have five books left to read. If anybody likes the idea, our goal is to spruce up the site for 2008 and get a few more people to join, so the more the merrier.
